Google Unveils Its New Logo
The tech giant Google has unveiled its first logo update since 2013. Goggle said in a statement that it changed its multi-colored logo to make it easier for users to use it on apps and mobile devices.
The company explaining the redesign said in a blogpost that it has changed a lot over the past 17 years, from its products to the evolution of their look and feel. And today it is introducing another change.
The firm's blue, red, yellow and green logo has been tweaked to a new sans-serif typeface and has softened colors. Users who visited the search engine's homepage today were able to see a moving animation that explains the entire change of the logo.
The animation shows the old logo being swiped away by a hand and the new one drawn on in its place. The company said it made the alteration to keep up with the changing way in which people are accessing the internet.
Google said, “People now interact with Google products across many different platforms, apps and devices in single day. You expect Google to help you whenever and wherever you need it, whether it's on your mobile phone, TV, watch, even a desktop”.
The new sans-serif design is the biggest revamp since 1999 and is a bid to reflect the development of the company.
Google on it blog said that they have taken the best of Google (simple, uncluttered, colorful, friendly), and recast it not just for the Google of today, but for the Google of the future.
