Google hopes to expand Internet Service in Southern California, Kentucky
Google Fiber is looking forward to expand its 1Gbps Internet and TV service to more parts of the US. It has been confirmed by the company that it is in the process of expanding its service in Irvine, California; Louisville, Kentucky and San Diego.
The company made announcement regarding its plans to bring high quality Internet service in the abovementioned cities in its blog. The company is looking forward to plan the process in cooperation with the leaders in the cities.
According to Jill Szuchmacher, director of Google Fiber expansion, "We'll work with Irvine, Louisville and San Diego to conduct a detailed study of factors that affect construction such as local topography, housing density, and the condition of existing infrastructure".
In the beginning, Google Fiber will carry out a study of the factors that will be needed to begin the construction and can also have an effect on the complexity or simplicity of the installation. In three cities, a checklist is required to be completed to get ready for the large-scale fiber construction.
The vast infrastructure project could be separated into smaller projects in order to make them easy to manage. And this will be possible with the joint collaboration of the company and the cooperative city leaders.
So far, the Google Fiber system is available in areas such as Texas, Kansas City and Provo. There are plans to build it in Atlanta, Nashville, San Antonio, Salt Lake City and Raleigh-Durham. The plans of the ultra speed internet have already been scheduled in these parts of the US.
