Amittrajit Ghosh, who drives for Red Rooster Racing, has won the title of the Rally of Coimbatore which was the first round of the Speed-Indian National Rally Championship in Coimbatore on Sunday.

Amittrajit Ghosh with his driver Ashwin Naik finished at the top while Team MRF's Arjun Aroor Rao with his co-driver Satish Rajagopal has to satisfy with second position who was 13 seconds behind Ghosh.

Ghosh was given a grace time of 20 seconds as he had appealed for grace time due to a slower car on Special Stage-8 on Saturday night and the Steward accepted his plea as Ghosh took lead by 14 points from the previous leader Rao.

Yesterday the overnight leader Ghosh lost 19 seconds to Rao on SS-9 but he came back with 18 seconds lead on Rao as they both finished with same timings in the Spectator Special Stage.

While Delhi's Sandeep Sharma with his co-driver Arjun Chopra finished third in the competition who was driving a Maruti Gypsy.
