Germany's Pieper acquired by Moog
According to the official reports, New York's precision control components and systems developer Moog announced it has acquired security video solution provider Pieper.
The purchase of Germany's Pieper is a strategic move by Moog to expand its security and surveillance business adding to its satellites, launch vehicles, aircraft and missiles precision control technologies portfolio in the military and homeland security market.
Jay Hennig, Moog Space and Defense group president, said in a statement, "Pieper's systems expertise and hardened video products for extreme environments expand our ability to solve the most difficult vision system problems for our customers."
Moog's announced acquisition is also an initiative to take advantage of the location of Pieper's facilities in Schwerte, Germany, in the European marketplace, Henning further said. (With Inputs from Agencies)
