German, 58, who would not move out is jailed for murder of sisterMuenster, Germany  - A 58-year-old German who refused to give up the bedroom he used as a child was jailed Monday for murdering his sister after she called him a "parasite."

The accused had spent most of his life as a university undergraduate, studying dentistry and education for 30 years, but never advancing past intermediate examinations.

German universities charge almost no fees. Stipends or loans are offered for living expenses.

The family finally asked him to vacate his old room, since he was mostly sleeping at his girlfriend's apartment. In January, he snapped during the row with his sister, killing her with an axe.

Convicting him of murder, the court in Muenster sentenced him to 11 years in jail. Psychologists told the court his guilt was diminished by his "disturbed personality."(dpa)
