Come 2009, Dish TV Viewers To Get 200 More Channels In order to maintain its lead in the market, leading direct-to-home (DTH) operator, Dish TV, owned by Essel group, has decided to add another 200 channels to its bouquet by next year.

At present, the company offers 225 plus channels to its viewers, and it plans to increase it to 400-450 by next year.

Speaking on this, Salil Kapoor (COO, Dish TV) said, “We have the largest content pipe. As of now we carry about 225-plus channels. Going ahead, within a year's time we plan to increase the number of channels to 400-450.”

'Rab Ne Bana di Jodi' at No. 1 at the Box Office in its second week ‘Rab Ne Bana di Jodi’ starring the versatile actor Shah Rukh Khan has continued its successful run at the Box Office in the second week, crossing the gross Rs 30 crore mark for second two.

A Yash Raj Films spokesperson informed, “After grossing a record breaking Rs 90 crore in its first week worldwide, the film has crossed beyond a phenomenal Rs 30 crore gross in its second week. This is by far the highest collection, even surpassing 'Dhoom 2' and 'Chak De India', both of which did outstanding business in their second week.”
