Bangladesh bars war crimes suspects from travelling abroad Dhaka  - Bangladesh has imposed a ban on travelling abroad for war crimes suspects as part of its process to bring 1971 war criminals to justice, a senior minister said Sunday.

"The trials of the war criminals are in the process, and that's why the government has ordered some people not to leave the country," Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shafique Ahmed said.

The minister mentioned neither the names nor the number of suspects affected.

The explosion occurred before dawn at the Husky Bus Terminal in Cotabato City, 960 kilometres south of Manila, according to Senior Superintendent Willie Dangane, city police chief.

Dangane said two buses and a concrete wall were partially damaged by the blast.

"Police investigators are looking into extortion and transport business rivalry as possible motives," he said.

The sisters, aged between 12 and 19, were afraid to tell anyone about the abuse. They finally confided to a female relative on Thursday at a wedding, who then took the girls to the police.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and senior government officials led the march along the length of Roxas Boulevard in downtown Manila, which was attended by schoolchildren and government employees.

Organizers of the march hoped to make it to the Guinness World Records bookas the world's first and largest march against illegal drugs.

The suspect, aged in his 50s, had stuffed the drugs into three stainless steel food containers, said state customs director Matrang Suhaili.
