GE aims business income worth $6 billion in 3-4 years

Jeffery Immelt, Chairman and CEO, GE Diversified global technology company GE is looking bullish towards India, as it anticipates to double overall business income to $6 billion in the next three to four years.

At present, the company's overall business in India is around $3 billion, which was growing substantially despite difficult global economic environment.

US conglomerate, which recorded total revenue of $183 billion in 2008, has presence in various verticals, including technology, energy infrastructure, transportation, aviation and enterprise solutions in India.

Commenting on latest announcement, Jeffery Immelt, Chairman and CEO, GE said that the firm's overall business in India is around $3 billion and has been growing substantially despite difficult global economic environment. I would be disappointed if we don't double it (revenue) in the next three or four years and that is my expectation from the team here."
