King Khan’s loving wife Gauri Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra following an acute stomachache on Sunday afternoon.

On Friday night, Gauri attended Farah Khan’s Triumph lingerie fashion show at the Tulip Centaur Hotel in Juhu. At that time, she was looking fine but following next morning, her condition deteriorated and complained of pains and nausea.

A source close to King Khan said, “Though Gauri was fine till Farah's show on Friday night, on Sunday afternoon she started vomitting and feeling sick. Apparently, she had eaten something the night before which didn't suit her resulting in a bout of severe food poisoning. She was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra yesterday late afternoon. The doctors are saying it was something she ate but it could also be a gastro-intestinal infection.”

After receiving the news about Gauri’s illness, Shahrukh cancelled the shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Rab De Bana Di Jodi’ and rushed to the hospital immediately to take care of his beloved wife.

“Shahrukh stayed by Gauri’s side till the doctors said her condition was improving. She will be discharged in a day or so,” the source added.

Both SRK and Gauri remained unavailable for their comments.
