Flying pig with Obama slogans escapes California concert
Los Angeles - A huge flying pig used as a concert prop by Pink Floyd's Roger Waters has been found in tatters in a southern California driveway after becoming untethered at a weekend concert.
Two families who found the tattered vinyl remains will share a 10,000 dollar prize and four free tickets for life to the annual Coachella music festival, where the flying pig escaped at the end of Waters' concert Saturday night.
The pig, which is the size of two buses, was adorned with slogans in support of US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. It also showed a cartoon of Uncle Sam holding two meat cleavers accompanied by the slogan "don't be led to the slaughter."
The pig was tethered to the ground with ropes and floated away as Waters was playing the Pink Floyd song Pigs on the Wing. (dpa)
