Flammability violation behind the recall of Pajamas

Flammability violation behind the recall of PajamasDue to a violation of federal flammability standards, regulators in Washington announced a voluntary recall of Roberta Roller Rabbit kimono robes and pajamas.

Roberta Roller Rabbit by Roberta Freymann of New York sold about 9,200 Kimono Robe, Lounge Sets and Slumber Short Sets at retail stores in East Hampton, N. Y., and Santa Monica, Calif., for about $50 each, the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

Imported from India, the garments were on sale from January 2005 through this February.

The sleepwear fails to meet federal standards regarding flammability, the commission said.

The recall involves garments in sizes 0 through 10. A yellow label on the inside identifies the garments as "Roberta Roller Rabbit."

It was further reported that the consumers were advised to stop using the robes and pajamas and return them to Roberta Roller Rabbit for a store credit. (With Inputs from Agencies)
