Foreign investors on Aug 25 sold shares worth Rs 259.14 crore in the stock exchanges.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) remained gross buyers of stocks valued at Rs 1,930.59 crore, whereas they sold shares worth Rs 2,189.73 crore, which resulted in a net sell of Rs 259.14 crore.

But, domestic institutional investors were hopeful and invested Rs 436.59 crore in shares

As per the information available with market controller SEBI, FIIs remained net seller of shares worth Rs 848.60 crore on Aug 24.

Property owners as well as stockbrokers made a net investment of Rs 172.76 crore in the stock market on the behalf of their customers.

In the meantime, NRIs followed Foreign institutional investors and drew a net Rs 1.77 crore from the domestic markets.
