Fergie predicts Man U Vs Chelsea Champions League final
London, May 3 : Sir Alex Ferguson is predicting a repeat of the 2008 Champions League final in Rome between Manchester United and Chelsea.
The United boss believes Chelsea will be too powerful for Barcelona at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
A determined defensive performance earned Guus Hiddink's side a goalless draw in the semi-final first leg at the Nou Camp.
"Chelsea are in the driving seat. I think Chelsea will go through. I would be happy with any final providing we are there. Barcelona are a great team with fantastic players but right now the English standard is good. The loss of Rafael Marquez and Carles Puyol is bad for Barcelona. But we showed last season and Chelsea have this time that you can cope with them," the Sunday Express quoted Ferguson as insisting last night.
"The danger when you play Barcelona is being dragged on to that carousel when they start all that passing and you are all over the ruddy place. Chelsea were very effective in how they dealt with that in the first leg," he added. (ANI)
