Fahim to meet Sharif on Sunday
Lahore, Mar 14: Pakistan People’s Party Vice-Chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim is expected to meet Pakistan Muslim League chief Nawaz Sharif on Sunday, according to the sources.
The Daily Times quoted its sources as saying that, Fahim during the meeting is expected to convince Sharif to support his bid for premiership of the country.
On Thursday, Fahim had reassured his claim for the post of Prime Minister, saying he was not interested in becoming the Speaker of the National Assembly or even the country’s President.
He has had a couple of meetings with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, but failed to resolve his differences with the party leadership over the issue.
The body language between the two, according to some Pakistani dailies suggest that all is not well and that the PPP is heading for a major internal crisis ahead of the formation of a coalition government. (ANI)
