Eastwood calls on “cowardly generation” to get tough to beat recession
London, March 7: As the world’s finances continue to crumble, veteran director Clint Eastwood has come forward and offered a piece of advice for the generation dealing with recession – get tough.
The helmer advocated stepping up actions to deal with the global situation rather than wasting words.
Recalling generations during the previous hard times, the 78-year-old said a much tougher approach was needed to handle the crisis.
“My father had a couple of kids at the beginning of the Depression,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling Esquire magazine.
“There was not much employment. Not much welfare. People barely got by. People were tougher then.
“We live in a more cowardly generation now.
“In those days, you just punched the bully back. Even if the guy was older, at least you were respected for fighting back and you’d be left alone from then on,” he added. (ANI)
