Lahore, June 20: Even after June 11 air strike and incidents of US choppers violating Pakistan’s air space coming to light last week, flights of drone planes continue in Pak-Afghan border areas of South and North Waziristan creating panic among the locals, reported The News.
Quoting sources, the paper reported that drones could be seen flying over Angorada, Ladha, Makken areas of South Waziristan and Zarmak, Shawwal, Lowara,, Dattakhel, Ghulam Khan and other areas of North Waziristan.
The tribals of the area have demanded the government to take measure to stop flights of drones, added the paper.
Around 11 personnel of Pakistan’s Frontier Corps (FC) were killed in the June 11 air strike, which Pakistan described as “deliberate attempt”, but Washington said it was carried out in self defence. (ANI)
