Digital TV encircles 90 % coverage
According to the reports, the coverage of digital TV has risen to 90% across UK. It dates back to 2007, when the first transmitter was turned off in order to introduce digital TV, and since then the digital turnaround has come handy in UK.
The findings sate that the coverage of digital TV is spreading out all the time and increasing leaps and bound ahead of the digital switchover.
The current stats show that around 91.4 per cent of UK households now have at least one digital television, which is up 2.6 per cent on the year before.
Figures from Ofcom, independent telecommunications regulator and research firm says, there has also been a rise of 8.5 per cent in households owning a second digital TV, with this figure standing at 61 per cent.
