One of the most awaited flicks of 2009 ‘Delhi 6’ is now on the verge of launching.

According to reports, Delhi 6 will hit Indian theatres by next month (Feb 2009).

The Bollywood movie ‘Delhi -6’, which stars multi-talented Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor’s loving daughter Sonam Kapoor is directed by Rakeysh Mehra.

Based on Rakeysh Mehra’s growing up days in Delhi’s Chandini Chowk, the title of the film has been inspired from the city’s (Delhi) pincode – 110006.

If the hearsays are to be trusted, then, ‘Delhi 6’ is a film, which is about an American-born Roshan (played by Abhishek Bachchan), who brings his sick grandma back to India for a quick visit. In India, he falls in love with the petite Sonam Kapoor.

The story of the movie tells that how this quick visit turns into a long journey.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Ronnie Screwvala are together producing this film on UTV Motions Pictures and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Productions banner.

After the immensely successful ‘Rang De Basanti’, which was nominated for an Oscar in the foreign film category, Delhi 6 is Rakeysh’s third directorial venture.
