Western world unwrought aluminium stocks rose to 1.340 million tonnes in December compared with a revised 1.249 million in November, industry data showed. Unwrought stocks stood at 2.446 million tonnes in December 2009, provisional data from International Aluminium Institute (IAI) figures showed. Aluminium yesterday traded with the negative node and settled -0.09% down at 115.3. Some pressure had been seen from the LME stock also which came up by 8325mt, the total stock at LME is now at 4533875mt. In yesterday's trading session aluminium has touched the low of 115.05 after opening at 115.45, and finally settled at 115.3.
