Collingwood to become England''s most capped ODI player
London, Nov. 19 : All-rounder Paul Collingwood has said that his best is yet to come despite becoming England''s most capped one-day player today when he faces South Africa in his
171st one-day international. He will overtake former captain and wicketkeeper Alec Stewart.
He reckons that the current England team has the potential to become the finest of his career.
The Sun quoted Collingwood, 33, as saying: "The best sides know each other''s roles, and strengths and weaknesses, rather than just looking good on paper. We got to the Champions Trophy final at home in 2004, but lost to a West Indies team that worked well together. Winning an ICC one-day tournament and the Ashes in Australia next winter are my two biggest ambitions left in cricket.”
"I''m very excited about this group of players. There''s so much potential," he added. (ANI)
