Chris Brown pulls out of Nickledeon Kid’s Choice Awards

Chris Brown pulls out of Nickledeon Kid’s Choice AwardsLondon, Mar 12 : Singer Chris Brown, who was a few days ago urging young kids to vote for him, has reportedly pulled out of the Nickledeon Kid's Choice awards, after being charged with two felony counts for his alleged attack on Rihanna.

Brown was nominated in the `Favorite male singer' and `Favorite song' categories, but enraged fans launched online petition urging organizers Nickleodeon to remove his name.

The petition was signed by 10,000 people.

Brown later withdrew from the awards, according to reports.

"Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans," The Sun quoted a representative for Brown as saying.

"Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated," the representative added.

The award winners will be declared on March 28. (ANI)
