While the all-time favourite Manchester United registered a 4-0 win against Stoke City in their final encounter of the premier league, the 8-0 win that Chelsea registered against Wigan Athletic at the at Stamford Bridge stadium has taken the club to win the premier league title.
The Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba netted a hat-trick in the final encounter for Chelsea to finish at the top of the Premier League scoring charts with 29 goals and Nicolas Anelka also took two goals to his name and the rest contributed by Frank Lampard, Salomon Kalou, and Ashley Cole.
It may be noted here that the Chelsea win has prevented ManU from winning the title 4th time in a row. Chelsea skipper John Terry said that it was hard for him to see ManU win for the three consecutive years but it is the time for them to see Chelsea.
