Rio de Janeiro  - A cayman that sneaked into a posh restaurant in Brazil was captured by the Rio de Janiero fire department Friday and transported to a nature reserve.

The reptile, about one-metre-long, managed to enter a restaurant in the neighbourhood of Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro. Employees found it asleep near the door early Friday morning.

Firemen were able to capture the cayman easily and without incident. They said it probably came in from a stream about five kilometres away from the restaurant. (dpa)
