Renowned European bicycle brand Bzen has announced the latest addition to its impressive lineup, called the Vienna – the fifth gem in the crown of e-bike innovation that is said to be inspired by the high-quality life in the Austrian capital. Set to revolutionize the way a rider navigates and experiences the cityscape the Bzen Vienna bridges the gap between conventional bicycles and modern e-bikes. Tailored for specific needs, it gracefully finds its place. It is neither a cargo-hauling workhorse nor a compact commuter marvel. Instead, it is a stylish urban companion, giving priority to comfort and safety above all else.

The design of the new e-bike caters to a wide range of riders, thanks to its low, step-through frame that ensures accessibility for shorter individuals. Weighing a mere 17 kilograms, it offers a hassle-free and easily manageable ride. According to Bzen, it is suitable for riders between 150 cm and 175 cm (4 feet 11 inches to 5 feet 9 inches) in height

The Bzen Vienna also boasts a simple yet effective Bafang rear-hub integrated motor that promises 250 watts of power and 45 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque, which makes it perfect for zipping through city streets. The 7-Amh, 252-Wh battery provides a respectable range of 35 to 70 km (21 to 44 miles) on a single charge. The company is also providing buyers with an option to choose between a nine-speed Shimano drivetrain or a Gates Carbon Drive belt for transferring pedalling efforts to the rear wheel.

Bzen’s official website states, “Vienna provides greater stability. It lowers the centre of gravity, making it easier to put a foot down quickly when it matters most. For relaxed breaks on bike tours or on the way to shopping, enables precise manoeuvring and increases safety – perfect for a stress-free and enjoyable cycling experience.”

The Bzen Vienna prioritizes rider comfort with a well-padded saddle and an upright seating position to prevent fatigue on longer journeys. It offers adjustability with customizable seat-post and stem and ensures safety with front and rear lights, a bell, mudflaps, and a kickstand. Additionally, it includes a rear luggage rack for up to 27 kg of cargo. The strong aluminum frame is paired with hydraulic disc brakes for reliable deceleration, riding on puncture-resistant Continental tires.

When it comes to pricing and availability, the Bzen Vienna is available in three color options (white, black, and copper) and is priced at 3,199 euros (approx. $3,400).
