Brother of UAE President missing, following plane crash
On Friday, the state news agency WAM reported that a brother of the United Arab Emirates president, Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed al-Nahayan is missing since his glider crashed in a lake in Morocco.
Sheikh Ahmed is the managing director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, known as the World's major sovereign wealth fund with assets estimated at more than $600 billion.
WAM specified, while giving no further details that the pilot was saved whereas a search continues for Sheikh Ahmed.
Sheikh Ahmed, who is a younger brother of Emirati President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan, the ruler of Abu Dhabi.
It should be noted though that he is not in the immediate line of succession for the throne of the oil-rich emirate.
