Blitz editor Karanjia cremated in Mumbai

Mumbai, Feb. 2: A Parsi, Karanjia, who died on FridayFormer Blitz editor R. K. Karanjia was cremated at the Chandanwadi electric crematorium on Saturday.

The cremation was witnessed by media personalities and eminent citizens.

A Parsi, Karanjia, who died on Friday aged 95, was cremated in line with his wishes.

A former war correspondent, Karanjia was founder-editor of the firebrand weekly Blitz, which had a bulldog as its mascot. He later launched the Hindi Blitz, The Daily and a glamour magazine, Cine Blitz. Karanjia is widely regarded as the pioneer of investigative journalism. (ANI)
