Blackcircles.com records 30% increase in salesBlackcircles. com, a leading online tyre firm, has said that it has recorded an impressive 30 per cent increase in sales to £23.2 million in the UK.

The growth in the sales for the company is significant as data showed that the UK tyre market was fell 13 per cent during 2012. The company also said that its Earnings before interest, tax, amortisation and depreciation (EBITDA) increased to more than twice its size to £600,000.

The online retailer, which is based in Peebles, sells tyres online and they are then fitted by independent garages or franchises. The company claimed that it has opened added 200 tyre-fitting centres across the UK and now has the largest network in the country.

Michael Welch, managing director of the company, said, "Our success comes down to understanding what our customers want and delivering it, it's as simple as that. 30% of our customers each month are returning customers - that's a legacy of what we have been building painstakingly for 10 years and the reason we are prospering in the worst three-year period the tyre market has ever seen."

Blackcircles said that the group aims at achieving £100m of sales over the next five years, accounting for about 10 per cent of the entire UK market.
