Bitfinder introduces smart air-quality device Awair to help you breathe easier
Generally if a person is suffering from allergies or asthma then he is likely to keep an eye on the local pollen forecast.
Although you can't do much about the count while stepping out into the world, yet with the help of humidifiers and air purifiers you can keep things under control around your home.
A privately funded startup company, San Francisco-based Bitfinder, has come up with a smart air-quality device named as Awair. It has sensors that can measure temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, fine dust particles, and volatile organic compounds.
After collecting this data, it programs itself on the basis of settings you provide for your home. Awair is very smart it can assess your living space's air quality data against your exact health conditions.
With the help of the Awair app, the device will provide you with recommendations on how you can change your behaviors so that your allergies don't get triggered the minute you enter your home.
Smart-home connectability is one of Awair's most unique features. If there is Wi-Fi, then through it the product can connect to other smart home devices, including the Nest smart thermostat.
If you get its API-driven software and an additional device known as Awair Connect then it can also work with devices such as humidifiers and purifiers. Awair turns them on or off for you.
It uses a lot of information, data to function, but Bitfinder said that all of its data is encrypted over Transport Layer Security and AES 256 bit encryption in order to keep everything safe and private.
If you have allergies and are facing difficulties in day to day life then you can buy this useful device. You can preorder Awair on the product website for just $149. It'll help you breathe easier by fall 2015.
