Berlusconi's wife ''suffering'' from his fascination with young women
London, Apr 29: Silvio Berlusconi’s ‘exasperated’ wife has launched a scathing attack on the Italian Prime Minister, insisting that she’s ‘suffering’ from his fascination with young women.
Veronica Lario described Berlusconi’s behaviour as "shameless rubbish" and compared him with Napoleon and a Roman emperor.
She said that his tendency to favour attractive young women was "all about power".
Writing in an angry mail to Italy''s national news agency, Ansa, Lario accused her husband of damaging the credibility of all Italian women by giving his political patronage to a bevy of beautiful women.
"I want it to be made clear that myself and my children are victims of this situation," the Telegraph quoted her as saying.
"We must endure it and he is making us suffer," she added.
She said that while there were many examples of women carving out careers in politics, from Baroness Thatcher to Angela Merkel, her husband singled out young women for their "curves and feminine beauty". (ANI)
