B4U Music Launches On FTA Satellite Service ‘Freesat’ In UK

B4U Music has become the first Asian channel to launch on the BBC and B4U MusicITV-backed free-to-air satellite service ‘Freesat,’ in UK.

Covering up approx 98% of households in UK, Freesat has more than 80 free digital channels – television, radio, interactive – plus high definition (HD) services from the BBC and ITV. 

In addition to B4U Music, Freesat’s initial channel line-up comprises TV channels including BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three and BBC Four; ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4; Channel 4, E4, More4 and Film4; news channels BBC News and Al-Jazeera English; children’s channels CBBC, CBeebies and CiTV; music channels; Chartshow TV and The Vault; interactivity from BBCi; digital radio; and the superlative picture quality of BBC HD and ITV HD.
 
Freesat, which was launched on 6 May in the UK, provides high definition, digital television for a one off payment, starting at £49.99, plus an £80 installation fee.

Freesat’s channel array will spring up each month, with up to 200 channels on air by the end of the year.

B4U Music plays a number of latest tracks from Bollywood and blends it with Bhangra and Hindi pop music. The channel also broadcasts phone-in shows, star interviews, Top 10 tracks and sneak previews of the soon-to-be released Bollywood movies.
