Apple announces Replacement Programme for some iPhone 6 plus models taking blurry photos
On Saturday, Apple announced some of the iPhone 6 plus handsets sold between September 2014 and January 215 could be affected by manufacturing defect and there could be a camera flaw in the handsets. The eligible handsets will be replaced for free.
The defect is in the real iSight camera. Due to the defect, the handsets provide blurry photos. The company has mentioned that customers can submit their affected iPhones at any authorized Apple service provider.
Inspection will be carried out to verify the eligibility of device under the replacement program and the eligible handsets will be replaced for free. Apple has also started a support page in which owners can known if their phone is included in the recall or not by entering their iPhone 6 Plus' serial number on the website.
Customers can find the serial number on the device's original box and on iTunes. Last fall, the issues were reported.
