Anil Khanna reappointed as director of ITF Board
Anil Khanna has been reappointed as the member of the Board of Directors of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for the fourth time in a row in the first meeting of AGM, which held in Madrid on Friday.
Anil, the secretary-general of the All India Tennis Association (AITA), will remain at the director post of the ITF for next two
years.
Juan Margets (Spain), Ismail El Shafei (Egypt), Franklin Johnson (US), Geoff Pollard (Australia) and Georg Von Waldenfels (Germany) were among the five other directors of ITF who were elected once again.
While Jacques Dupre (France), Lucy Garvin (US), Jack Graham (Canada), Chris Kypriotis (Brazil), Roman Murashovsky (Russia) and Stuart Smith (Britain) are the six new members who will join them.
In the meeting, the proposal of increasing the number of the Board of Directors of ITF was also accepted and from 2011 there will 13 members instead of 12 in addition to the president.
The next meeting of AGM will be organized in Washington DC and India has also showed its interest to host AGM besides five more countries including Brazil, South Africa, Thailand, Malta and Switzerland.
