Alfa Laval wins order worth Rs 15 crore from Vedanta AluminiumSwedish engineering solutions group Alfa Laval AB has informed that its Indian unit has secured an order worth Rs 15 crore from Vedanta Aluminum Ltd, for three thermal evaporation systems, which is a part of plant expansion project.

The thermal evaporation systems will be used to recycle caustic.

Pune-headquartered Alfa Laval (India) Limited engages in the manufacture and supply of a range of components and systems in separation, heat transfer, and flow technology primarily in India. The company operates through two divisions: Equipment and Process Technology.

Alfa Laval (India) Ltd. reported a considerable increase in its standalone net profit for the first quarter ended June 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 28.96% to Rs 25.91 crore from Rs 20.09 crore in the same quarter, last year.

After announcement, Alfa Laval shares extended gains to 3.77 per cent to Rs 748.
