407 fruit trucks left Srinagar whereas 755 load carriers arrived today
Srinagar, Aug 20 : As many as 407 trucks laden with fresh fruit left the Srinagar Valley for Jammu and other parts of the country during lat 24 hours where as during the same period 755 trucks carrying essential commodities and fuel entered the valley from Jammu.
According to spokesman of the Divisional Administration, 191 trucks carried rice, 25 trucks carried flour, 22 trucks carried sheep, 14 trucks carried chicken, 78 trucks carried diesel, 30 trucks carried petrol, 57 trucks carried kerosene oil, 34 trucks carried LPG.
Where as 663 load carriers left the Valley for onward journey to Jammu and other parts of the country during the same period.
As many as 48 trucks laden with vegetables, 137 empty tankers and 71 other trucks also left the valley for Jammu in the same period, the spokesman added.
Meanwhile, curfew has been re-imposed in entire Jammu district from today. The Army has been called to maintain law and order following fresh violence late yesterday in old Jammu city areas where several people including police personnel were injured.
The authorities have also decided not to allow people to court arrest today on the third day of the jail bharo programme of the Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti.
Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti has decided to go ahead with the talks with the four-member panel headed by Dr. S. S. Bloeria, Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Governor. (ANI)
