Average weight of an 11-month-old baby is somewhere between 13 lbs and 15 lbs, but an 11-month-old baby in Colombia weighs 61 lbs.

Doctors in Colombia are trying to find reason behind unusual weight of this baby. Child’s mother, Milena Orosco de Agudelo added that her son’s unusual growth started when he was just two months old.  

She added that the child is larger than his elder brother.

Medical examinations of the child indicated a problem in his endocrine system. This 11-month-old child has bones structure of eight year old child. Because of his huge size, the child wears extra large nappies.  

Doctor David Dias, of the Barranquilla Pediatric Hospital, said, "The baby will have tests done to see if he's obese or we're dealing with hyperthyroidism."
