1 Gigabit Fibre Router by Hitron TechnologiesA high-end fibre router, with a minimum 1 Gigabit capability will be released for the citizens of UK at ANGA cable Europe's leading Trade Fair for cable, broadband and satellite.

The GVE-39320 router enables the telcos, ISPs and cable operators to provide high-speed internet access. It will enable a constant broadband speed of approximate 958Mbps because of its incorporated network accelerators.

It will enable the multiple live streaming of video which has an amalgamation of VOD, phone, internet or live TV capability. The GVE-39320 router also has an embedded UPnP/DLNA server and will be available from ZON Multimedia in June.

Praising the products' capabilities Rudy Zijlstra, CTO at Hitron Europe GmbH claimed the router to be an out of the league product that cuts out from the rest in 50-80Mb range, the GVE-39320 which is considered as the Hitron's expertise in router development can deliver speeds up to 956Mb without any hiccups.

He further added that the router i. e., UPnP/DLNA capabilities are of particular interest to cable operators as it help provide a NAS (network assisted storage) to their users which is an exclusive deal which no-one in the present scenario is offering.

It is believed that the fibre network deployment is fast catching up in Europe and at the same time offers a wide range of services.
