Madrid  - Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero made an embarrassing slip of the tongue at a joint press conference with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev on Tuesday.

Speaking of a tourism agreement, Zapatero said: "We have made this agreement to stimulate, to favour, to f---... to support this tourism."

The premier used a vulgar, but widespread Spanish word for having sex. Medvedev was on a state visit to Spain. dpa
