Indian teenage sensation Yuki Bhambri has been awarded with a berth in Indian Davis Cup squad by All India Tennis Association (AITA) for his brilliant performance in the ITF tournament. Indian squad will play against South Africa in World Group play-off from September 18 to 20.

The Indian squad includes Somdev Devvarman, Rohan Bopanna, Leander Paes, Bhupathi and Yuki. Yuki will replace Sanam Singh, who was the reserve player for the tie against Chinese Taipei.

Nandan Bal will be the coach of the Indian team while SP Misra will lead the Indian squad as a non-playing captain. Indian team will have to win this tie to enter into the World Group after a long period of 11 years.

Indian team made into the World Group qualifying stage after Australian team decided to not tour India due to security reasons. Indian team had defeated Chinese Taipei in the first round of Asia Oceanic group-I earlier this year.
