Intellectuals at the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of the Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore feel that there is an urgent need to increase awareness among youth of what Tagore has given to the literature and to this society.

Renowned poet Subodh Sarkar has said that time has come to make the youth understand the value of literature that Tagore has produced. And this is the way by which they can start loving the poet's works.

The country has celebrated Rabindranath Tagore's 150th birth anniversary on 9th May. In Kolkata it has been celebrated since a year.

Sarkar has also said that the elderly people love to read the poems, stories and novels written by Rabindranath. But the Youth is in that flow. Until and unless the old generation starts bringing to this fold they could not know the importance of such creation.

Hence there is an urgent need to bring the youth to this frame soon. Some of the other intellectuals also raised the same point, because there has been a sharp decline in studying Rabindranath's literary culture among the youth.
