Woods’ wife uses golf club to rescue him after SUV crash

Woods’ wife uses golf club to rescue him after SUV crashOrlando (US), Nov. 28 : The world’s top ranked golfer Tiger Woods was rescued by his wife after being injured in a car crash on Friday morning.

Woods, who was initially feared to be in a serious condition after the crash, has been treated and released in good condition, according to the hospital.

The crash, which occurred at 2:25 a. m. near Woods'' home in an Orlando-area gated community, was heard by Wood’s wife, Elin Nordegren, who used a golf club to smash out the back window of the Cadillac SUV and help get her husband out of the car.

Sky News quoted Windermere Police Chief Daniel Saylor, as saying that Woods was lying in the street drifting in and out of consciousness with his wife hovering over him when officers arrived.

The golfer had cuts on his lips and blood in his mouth, and officers gave him first aid until fire rescue came about 10 minutes later, Saylor added.

Woods, 33, may face unidentified charges, though investigators don''t suspect alcohol was involved. Woods had not been wearing a seatbelt.

Woods apparently was travelling under 33 mph because the Escalade''s airbags didn''t inflate, police said.

According to The Sun, Tiger and Nordegren had been arguing before the accident.

He reportedly has been cheating on her with party hostess Rachel Uchitel, 34.

Rachel is said to have followed Tiger around the world.

She was photographed at the same hotel where Tiger was staying while playing in the Australian Open.

Lawyers for the golfer have denied the allegations. (ANI)
