Woman Dies of Swine Flu In Kerala
According to health officials, the death of a woman owing to deadly H1N1 virus in Kerala was confirmed even as 15 more tested positive for the flu.
They officials stated that Biji (25), a resident of Thenmala in Kollam, was taken to the Trivandrum Medical College a few days back with the diagnosis of Kyphoscoliosis.
Biji lost her life on July 22 and her casualty was confirmed owing to H1N1 on Friday.
Out of the 15 fresh H1N1 cases, four cases were from Ernakulam, seven from Kozhikode, one each from Thrissur, Kannur, Kasargode and Wayanad.
In the meantime, the total number of patients under Hospital Quarantine in Kerala was 15 and under Home Quarantine 289.
Throat swabs of 28 patients were sent for laboratory examination, it said. (With Inputs from Agencies)
