War Of Words Goes On Between Ramadoss And Bollywood Biggies

War Of Words Goes On Between Ramadoss And Bollywood BiggiesIt appears that the honorable union health minister is out to waging a continuous war of words with Bollywood stars on one issue or another. Yes, Anbumani Ramadoss, who has already wrangled with Shahrukh Khan on on-screen smoking issue, has got into verbal war with Big B on on-screen drinking.

The war between Anbumani Ramadoss and Amitabh Bachchan began on Monday when the minister stated that he did not want children to take up smoking or drinking in imitation of the actor doing it on screen. On NDTV 24x7, Ramadoss said, "I don't want that because of Mr Amitabh Bachchan millions of children take up smoking or take up alcohol and all that.”

Speaking of the star's influence, Ramadoss said "He is the brand ambassador for polio. Because of him millions of women were taking their children for polio drops. We appreciate that.” He said his idea was that the issue (of smoking and drinking) should not be glamorized.

Bachchan hit out at the Minster for his "overzealous" campaign, saying that he should first try to ban this dreaded habit among all government servants.

Meanwhile, on the issue, Farah Khan stated, “Dear Mr. Ramadoss, what next? Should Superman stop flying because kids will imitate him? Should all heist films be banned next because people will start robbing banks? If all in our country imitated films then hockey should have become the favorite sport after Chak De India and really after watching Gandhi, our nation should have become non violent. It`s very presumptuous of you to think that films only influence wrongly. You don`t tell us how to do our job, Mr. Ramadoss and we won`t tell you how to do yours.”
