Wall Street gloomy about earnings prospects
New York - Major US stock indices were off Monday amid growing worries about corporate profits in the coming months.

The US currency soared against the euro to 73.361 euro cents from 71.83 euro cents on Friday. The dollar jumped against the Japanese currency to 93.237 yen from 91.84 yen on Friday. (dpa)
