Islamabad - Voting for Pakistan president completed, Zardari leading The voting for the Pakistani presidential elections ended and counting was going on in two houses of the national parliament and four provincial assemblies Saturday.

According to the initial unofficial results, Asif Ali Zardari, widower of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, was leading in two provincial assemblies.

He got 56 of 65 electoral votes in the North-West Frontier Province assembly, and 59 of 65 in south-west Balochistan province. The other two candidates, Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui and Mushahid Hussain, were lagging far behind Zardari with seven and five votes respectively.

The electoral college has total 702 votes. Only lawmakers vote in the presidential election. (dpa)
