India is known as a hub by the automakers for the small size cars and the best growing market where the demand for the affordable cars keeps on increasing with each passing day.

Keeping good knowledge about Indian automobile industry, Volkswagen has a newest plan of a small car for India, for which it has now even started working out a pricing strategy. Till date, we have only one small offering from Volkswagen i. e. VW Polo hatchback.

Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors are among the big players in the Indian automobile industry, who have a big range of products in this segment of the market. There are many more auto brands as well and to capture the Indian automobile industry maximum brands have already started putting in their efforts to introduce more affordable products. Hopes are higher that the VW’s new Up will take on the Maruti Alto and the likes. Also, there is news of H800 from Hyundai, which will be even cheaper than the smallest Hyundai car today i. e. the Santro.

Volkswagen is speedily producing its newest model i. e. the milestone model, a VW Vento, which is coming two years after its production launch in May 2009. The company has also succeeded in producing the 100,000th car at its Chakan plant in Pune, India.
