Vivek Storms In To Second Round Of ITF Futures
Vivek Shokeen has stormed into the second round of the ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament with prize money $15,000 after defeating Vijayant Malik on Tuesday.
Vivek has defeated Malik in the straight sets by 6-2, 6-3 in the first round match at the DLTA Complex.
Vivek outclassed Malik in the first set to win the set by 6-2, while the second set was no different for him as he easily won the set and the match to advance into the next round.
Shokeen will now play against the top-seeded Kento Takeuchi of Japan in the pre-quarterfinals, who has defeated Navdeep Singh by 6-3 7-6 in his first round match.
Meanwhile the qualifier Karunuday Singh has upset the 916th ranked Vaja Uzakov of Uzbekistan in the straight sets in the first round match.
