Upswing in equities pulls crude oil prices to $75
As commodities found support from an upswing in equities, Crude oil prices closed in on $75 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
After Xinhua News reported China was not considering selling its European bonds, equity markets closed higher in Asia, Europe and the United States on Thursday.
July delivery crude oil added $3.39 to a prior settlement to reach $74.90 per barrel.
Adding 0.0736 cents from a prior settlement, heating oil prices went up to $2.006 per gallon.
Reformulated gasoline blend-stock prices rose 0.0622 cents to $2.027 per gallon.
It was also reported that Henry Hub natural gas prices added 0.156 cents to $4.335 per million British thermal units.
According to reports of AAA, at the pump, the national average price for unleaded regular gasoline dropped to $2.759 per gallon Thursday from Wednesday's $2.771. (With Inputs from Agencies)
