Upgraded iPhone 4 hits the global market
Technology giant, Apple’s newly released iPhone 4S smartphone went on sale globally on Friday attracting large number of buyer’s who also paid remembrance to former Apple chief, Steve Jobs.
Apple fans gathered in their hundreds outside company’s stores in various cities around the world to be the first one’s to get the new smartphone. The new iPhone 4S is similar in looks to the earlier version but comes with significant improvements.
Apple CEO Tim Cook and his executive team are expecting the device; which is the first in years to be launched without Mr. Jobs, in order to safeguard its future and raise investor confidence in the company’s ability to compete with increasing aggressive rivals including Samsung and other Android manufacturers.
The iPhone 4S, which was released weeks ago was seen as a disappointment by fans and others as they were expecting the launch of iPhone 5. Many analysts had said that the customer response to the device would not be good. However, fans have been queuing up to buy the new phone in great numbers.
Meanwhile, many Apple users were concerned over issues relating to the problems caused by the iOS 5 to their devices. Apple forums and social networking sites were flooded with customers complaining about an error in installation and even blocked phones.
