Unity Infraprojects J V Pockets Order Worth Rs 1145.88 Cr

Unity InfraprojectsUnity Infraprojects Ltd., one of the country's major civil contracting firms, declared that its joint venture with IVRCL Infrastructure & Projects has pocketed a prestigious order the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

The scope of the order, which is valued at Rs 1145.88 crores, includes the construction of a 8.3 km long Tunnel using a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) from Kapurbawdi to Bhandup Complex, Mumbai.

The order is likely to be finished within 60 months.

The company holds 50% equity stake in the joint venture.

While commenting on the order, Mr. Abhijit K. Avarsekar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Unity Infraprojects Ltd. stated, "Securing such a large order is a momentous achievement for the company especially with the global economy is showing signs of recovery. Our focus on the urban infrastructure space has yielded positive results for us. Goiforward we shall continue oir thrust on big ticket infrastructure projects."

Last week, Unity Infraprojects had received an order worth Rs 265.39 crores from MCGM to rebuild the 520 bed R N Cooper hospital.

With the addition of this order, the company's order book has exceeded Rs 4000 crores.

At 12:53 pm, the shares of the company gained 0.8% to trade at Rs 443.70 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 54.67 and 8.17 respectively. The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 469.90 and a low of Rs 67 on BSE.
