United Lincolnshire Hospital Witnesses a Fall in Various Infections
The United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust has witnessed a fall in the Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection, in the region by 61%. The trust also saw a fall in the cases of Clostridium difficile by 41%.
The Director of the nursing and patient department, Sylvia Knight, appreciated the fall in the various infection rates in the region. As per Ms. Knight, "The reductions we have seen have been very impressive and I am proud of all our staff, patients and visitors who have helped to keep our rates of infections as low as possible”.
Another report is about the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, which was still unable to transfer to its new hospital. The new hospital consisted of 40 critical beds, 14 operation theatres and will have 8 wards, is claimed to be the biggest hospital in the area, in the 63 years of NHS’s career.
The hospital will be ready to provide all the services by the spring next year. The hospital was authorized to open 11 years back, but due to some financial crisis, the authorities of the hospital could not the start with its service in the new hospital.
